2019 Scholarships and Discounts
We’re happy to once again offer scholarships and discounted registration to select groups of attendees at Open Source 101 in 2019.
In our opinion it’s important to do everything possible to ensure attendance for groups that might otherwise have a difficult time attending, for whatever reason. A diverse group of attendees makes the event a better and more positive experience for everyone in our opinion.
The following are being offered in 2019:
1. Active Student
Thanks to the tremendous support of the McNair Institute for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise at the University of South Carolina, a limited number of scholarships will again be made available to college and university students. Students should contact us directly at [email protected] for a discount code that will the registration cost to $0. *Please note everyone using a student discount code will be required to present a valid photo student id when checking in at the event.
2. Historically Underrepresented
We’re very proud to again offer a limited number of scholarships to organizations representing historically underrepresented individuals. These organizations should contact us directly at [email protected] for a discount code to forward to members. Examples include Women Who Code, Girl Develop It, Black Girls Who Code, and many others.
3. Government
We’re making a limited number of scholarships available to those working in government. We understand seeking and receiving registration/reimbursement approval at government institutions can sometimes be a challenge, and we’re happy to help. Anyone that is currently/actively working for a government organization, that is interested in attending, and that might have an issue receiving funding approval should contact us directly at [email protected] for a discount code.
4. Education
Professors, teachers, and others in the education field that are interested and likely to encounter funding approval resistance should contact us directly at [email protected]. We have a limited number of scholarships available for distribution.
