My name is Brian Childress and I am a Master Software Engineer at Capital One. Over the past 10 plus years I have developed applications in healthcare, finance, and consumer products. I am mostly self taught and am passionate about learning new concepts, patterns, and technologies. When not programming I enjoy spending family time exploring the great outdoors.

Brian is Co-founder and Co-CEO of Fluree, a distributed ledger and graph database solution geared towards enterprise deployments of blockchain. Brian was an entrepreneur and executive throughout the early internet days and SaaS boom, having founded the popular A-list apart web development community, along with a host of successful SaaS companies. He is now helping companies navigate the complexity of the blockchain enterprise movement, having been invited to speak on the topic at 16 global conferences in 2018 alone. Previous to establishing Fluree, Brian co-founded SilkRoad Technology which grew to over 2,000 customers and 500 employees in 12 global offices.

Ray Gesualdo is a full-stack JavaScript developer, speaker and mentor from Atlanta, GA. He started his career in the e-learning development industry before moving into software engineering with multiple Atlanta-based startups. Currently, he works with an amazing team of UI engineers at SalesLoft. Ray loves working with client- and server-side JavaScript; experimenting with serverless architectures, functional programming and Elixir; and teaching and equipping others in technology.

Bryan Hughes is a Cloud Developer Advocate at Microsoft, long-time member of the Node.js and NodeBots communities, and tech activist. Bryan is the creator of Raspi IO which provides Raspberry Pi support for the Johnny-Five JavaScript robotics library. Bryan also created Raver Lights, a distributed wireless lighting system designed for festivals, Request Inspector, a Node.js performance diagnostics tool, and Contact Scheduler, an app that helps him keep in touch with friends. Outside of tech, Bryan is an active member of the LGTBQ community, a photographer, an occasional writer, a once upon a time pianist, and a wine aficionado.

Marcus is the head of community at Vaadin, helping developers learn about modern web technologies like Web Components and Progressive Web Applications.

An experienced project manager, Sarah Sawicki joined Richland Library in 2012 as Virtual Services Project Manager and has been championing the 12-location system ever since. Now serving as Planning and Projects Director, she guides cross-functional teams through human-centered design to plan and execute new and improved products, services and spaces. She advises other staff serving as project managers on strategic initiatives and ensures the use of data to make informed decisions. Outside of the library, she taps her way through life using her project management superpowers to raise teenaged twin girls, a tween boy, and a pre-teen Oktoberfest Columbia.

Brandon is a member of the Angular Team working on documentation and development for the Angular framework. He is also a core team member on the NgRx project building reactive libraries for Angular.

Doug Burks started Security Onion in 2008 to provide a comprehensive platform for intrusion detection, network security monitoring, and log management. Today, Security Onion has over 700,000 downloads and is being used by organizations around the world to help monitor and defend their networks. In 2014, Doug started Security Onion Solutions LLC to help those organizations by providing commercial support and training. Doug is a CEO, public speaker, teacher, former president of the Greater Augusta ISSA, and co-founder of BSides Augusta, but what he really likes the most is catching bad guys.

Erica Stanley is a software engineer, entrepreneur and tech diversity & inclusion advocate. She is a software engineering manager at SalesLoft – where she’s helping grow the product engineering team for the 4th fastest growing software company in North America and #1 best place to work in Atlanta. She’s worked with Fortune 500 companies, including Boeing, FOX Interactive Media, Turner Broadcasting, and Oracle, as well as early-stage and pre-acquisition startups. Erica is active in the Atlanta technology community.
